WATERMELON DOSA
A great combination of watermelon and dosa batter for a unique south Indian treat.
INGREDIENTS
- Par boiled rice (soak in water for 2 hrs) - 1-1/2 cup
- Scraped coconut - ½ cup
- Salt - To taste
- Melon pieces (only white rind portion, pureed) - 1 cup
TOOLS REQUIRED
- Spatula
- Frying pan
- Serving dish
PREPARATION METHOD
- Grind together the melon puree, coconut and soaked rice into a smooth batter. The consistency of batter should be slightly thick.
- Put salt to the prepared batter and stir well.
- Heat pan over medium heat and pour a ladle full of prepared batter at the center and then spread it in a round shape.
- Put a tsp of oil and cook each side.
- Serve hot.
Serving Suggestions
Serve hot with tomato-onion chutney or sambar or pickle.
